  A new Fourth Degree Assembly exists in our area thanks to the efforts of a few members of our council during the 1996-97 Columbian Year. The CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS ASSEMBLY #2482 was chartered on February 12, 1997 with Brother Ralph A. Castro Sr. from our council as the Charter Faithful Navigator and Brother R. Eugene Hays Sr. as Faithful Comptroller. Other Brothers that helped form the Assembly include Brother Gilbert Gonzales and our former Field Agent, Brother Jim Baker Sr.
